Enzymatic hydrolysis

The project aims to define a novel enzymatic hydrolysis strategy to increase the efficiency of the biomass conversion process. This novel approach will reduce the time and resources needed for the hydrolysis by at least 20%, thus improving the overall competitiveness of mushroom compost conversion.

In addition, partners will improve efficiency and stability of existing and newly developed enzymatic components through a cross-linking process, enhancing their ability to resist higher room temperatures in order to facilitate their storage and reduce logistics costs.

This will result in the creation of novel enzyme solutions with improved performance compared to commercial enzymes in application, while increasing the profitability of the enzymatic hydrolysis process.
