BIOrescue solutions showcased at EUBCE 2018
Between 14 and 17 May 2018, participants to the 26th European Biomass Conference and Exhibition were invited to discover solutions to develop high added value products from used mushroom compost in the framework of a poster presentation delivered by BIOrescue project partners.
After twenty months of intensive work, partners of the BIOrescue project were able to showcase their first results in this presentation. This included the outcomes of the separation and fractionation steps, as well as details related to the enzymatic hydrolysis process and results of the first attempts to formulate bio-based polymer nanocarriers from used mushroom compost. In addition, partners also released information on the sustainability assessment related to the BIOrescue process.
The poster, presented by Inés del Campo, Senior Research and Development Engineer at CENER and coordinator of the BIOrescue project, and Rocio Diaz-Chavez, researcher at Imperial College, can be downloaded here, together with the paper presented at this occasion, that will be published in the EUBCE conference proceedings.
