Factsheet #4 Bio-based nanocarriers to treat plant diseases
To limit the use of pesticides and allow for a targeted plant treatment, experts from the Max Planck Institute for Polymer Research developed novel bio-based nanocarriers made from agricultural waste. The nanocapsules release progressively the drug within the plant, making them a very efficient solution to cure plant diseases in the agri-food sector.
